Mens contraception

As it is known, men do not get pregnant. Perhaps that is why they are less concerned about the problems of protection against unwanted pregnancy, than women. But still they can take part in their partners pregnancy prevention, according to their possibilities, of course. There are special mens methods of contraception.

The most unreliable method of contraception is coitus interruptus. It means that when the man feels that ejaculation is going to happen, he takes the penis out of the vagina. The followers of this method can be often met in maternity hospitals with flowers and packages with fruit in their hands.

The most popular and reliable method is condom. It is a case for penis, made of high quality thin rubber. It protects not only from unwilling pregnancy, but also from being infected with some venereal disease. Modern men are lucky as they do not have to pull domestic animals guts on their penices as ancient Romans had. They do not use a medicated canvas pouch as a condom as Renaissance men did.
You had better buy condoms in a drug store. A good condom must have been electronically controlled. Do not forget to check the pull-date: condoms are good within 5 years.

A condom can be put on erected penis and must be taken off immediately after ejaculation. You should throw the used item in the bin, rather than out of the window or in toilet boil.

The most terrible method is so called sterilization. This surgical operation consists in intersection of spermiducts. The man becomes completely sterile about in a month after the sterilization.
The operation is quite simple and there are few cases of after-trouble. Earlier the main disadvantage of sterilization was the fact that man was deprived of the ability to have children forever. Nowadays the scientists have worked out the operation of reverse sterilization: the intersected spermiducts are put together and the man becomes fertile again. The ability for making a child is restored in 90 per cent of cases of sterilization. There is an alternative procedure: some special miniature valves are inserted in the spermiducts. These valves can be closed ore open at will through a very easy operation.

So the surgeon methods of male contraception are very reliable and relatively harmless. Their disadvantages consist in the necessity of surgical intervention. Before taking the extreme measures the man must consult the andrologist.

The most exotic method samurai testes. This method of mens contraception was invented in Ancient Japan. The man had to keep his testes in hot water (about 40 degrees centigrade) for a few minutes every day during two months. As a result the man could not become a father within the nearest six months. In normal conditions the scrotums temperature is not more than 36 degrees centigrade. When the testes are overheated it results in the damage of sperm production. By the way driving longer than four hours a day causes the same effect.

The most doubtful method hormone preparations for men. It is known that a surplus of some hormones, in particular of testosterone stops the sperm production. However it is not quite clear yet how a permanent drug taking can influence the mans general well-being. Isnt it possible that he will become an impotent or deprived of the ability to have children?

Hormonal preparations for mens contraception should not be pills which are to be taken every day at the same time.

Women and pharmacists do not trust men. They suppose that they can forget to take the pill in time because of their frivolity and absent-mindness. That is why the scientists are working at medicines which can be implanted under the skin. Male antisemen medicines are still being worked at. There is no hormone preparation for men in the world that has been completely tested and approved of for sale.
